2M Alliance, which includes Maersk and MSC, has announced several reschedules in two of its services which connect Far East Asia with North Europe.
Particularly, the alliance will restart the AE1/Shogun Ningbo and AE6/Lion Shanghai Westbound calls, on 15 and 23 August respectively, with the services rotations being as follows:
- AE1/Shogun Rotation Westbound
Ningbo– Shanghai – Xiamen – Tanjung Pelepas – Felixstowe – Rotterdam – Bremerhaven
- AE6/Lion Rotation Westbound
Ningbo – Shanghai – Yantian – Tanjung Pelepas – Sines- Antwerp – Le Havre – Felixstowe – Algeciras
The reinstatement of the port calls will be introduced effective from the following vessels:
The Alliance of Maersk and MSC will also change its service coverage on the AE6/Lion service by structurally omitting the Yantian Eastbound call on 16 September.
This is a result of the Covid-19 pandemic challenges, such as port congestion and delays across global supply chains, according to Maersk.
2M Alliance will implement alternative routings aiming to mitigate the impact on its customers.
