2M alliance, including Maersk and MSC, has decided to revise its Asia-North Europe network, with the updated services taking effect from the 32nd week of the year.
The service updates aim to improve the alliance’s network by introducing new port calls and addressing ongoing congestion in Europe while maintaining competitive transit times between Asia and North Europe.
Below are the revised rotations for 2M alliance’s AE55/Griffin, AE6/Lion and AE7/Condor services:
AE55/Griffin Service
2m alliance will remove the call at Le Havre and add a new call at Yantian. This change introduces new port pairs, such as Yantian to Felixstowe in 35 days and Yantian to Rotterdam in 40 days.
The first sailing will be the MSC Vandya voyage 432, departing from Shanghai on 5 August 2024.

Shanghai (China) – Ningbo (China) – Xiamen (China) – Yantian (China, new) – Tanjung Pelepas (Malaysia) – Felixstowe (UK) – Rotterdam (Netherlands) – Tanger Med (Morocco) – Hong Kong (China) – Shanghai (China)
AE6/Lion Service
This service will now include a call at Le Havre, establishing a new connection between Yantian and Le Havre in 36 days, while the Rotterdam call will be transferred to the Griffin service. 2M will also offer transit times from Ningbo to Le Havre (43 days) and from Shanghai to Le Havre (40 days).
The first sailing will be the MSC Michel Cappelini, voyage 432, departing from Ningbo on 6 August 2024.

AE7/Condor Service
Starting with the Maersk Horsburgh, voyage 433E, the Condor service will no longer call at Le Havre.

Britannia Service
MSC has also decided to change the rotation of its standalone Britannia service, which will now call at Le Havre instead of London Gateway.
The first sailing will be the MSC Trieste, voyage 433, departing from Shanghai on 7 August 2024.
