Ahti Pool adds Neste fleet to FuelEU compliance pool

Ahti Pool announced on 11 December that it has signed a letter of intent (LοI) with Neste to integrate Neste’s EU-exposed fleet into Ahti’s FuelEU Maritime compliance pool.

This move, as per Ahti Pool’s statement, brings the total number of vessels under its management to nearly 250.

With European regulations aiming to increase the share of renewable fuels in transport to at least 14% by 2030, the demand for lower-emission energy solutions is expected to rise significantly.

Neste’s fleet, which includes vessels for transporting raw materials and end products, as well as dual-fuel LNG and methanol-powered ships, is a key component of the company’s logistics operations in Europe and globally.

Risto Kariranta, Ahti Pool’s CEO, commented, “We are excited to welcome Neste’s fleet, and we look forward to working with the global leader in renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel to help Neste create additional revenue from the FuelEU Maritime compliance surplus.”
