AIMTC called off the truckers strike

The nation-wide truckers strike in India staged by the All India Motor Transport Congress (AIMTC) was called off on the late night of 27 July 2018. They called off the strike on Friday after the Government of India assured to review several of their demands.

As the Strike had spanned across 8 days, it is expected that it will take 10 – 14 days to clear the backlog and for all Container / Cargo movements to return to normalcy, depending on the area impacted and its volumes.
