Amazon to accelerate digitalisation at Port of Thessaloniki

Thessaloniki Port Authority S.A. (ThPA) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have held a meeting during the 85th Thessaloniki International Fair aiming to transform the Greek port into a “smart port” through digitisation of systems and smart technology.

The executives of ThPA and AWS, which is a subsidiary of the American multinational technology company Amazon, discussed technological solutions that can enhance agility and drive innovation through the use of the most comprehensive hyper-scale cloud computing platform that will provide efficient and reliable quality services.

The Executive Chairman of the board of directors of Thessaloniki’s Port Authority, Thanos Liagkos, noted that “ThPA S.A. is dedicated to applying innovative and sustainable strategies in line with the global trends of digitisation in the ports and logistics industries.”
