Antwerp Gateway to ease berth alignment process

Antwerp Gateway has decided to implement Portchain Connect to increase the quality and speed of its berth alignment with container lines.

Through Portchain Connect, Antwerp Gateway will receive real-time schedules and move count updates directly from carrier systems. In this way, Antwerp Gateway will be able to quickly respond, counter-propose and align the ship’s schedule with the terminal’s berth plan.

Portchain said it aims to simplify Antwerp Gateway’s communication channels and improve overall berth alignment.

“We are excited to work with Antwerp Gateway and help them drive efficiencies in their berth alignment process by facilitating streamlined data exchange. We look forward to continuing our collaboration and continuously improving the platform based on user feedback,” commented Thor Thorup, CCO & co-founder of Portchain.
