APL launches a new China-L.A. service

APL, one of the world’s leading ocean carriers, launched a weekly China-Los Angeles ocean freight service, the Global Trade magazine reported Monday (September 10 2018).

According to the report, the first cargo run by APL’s new premium delivery service, Eagle Express X (EXX), had arrived at Los Angeles Port.

The world’s third-largest container transportation and shipping company said this service promised a time-guaranteed transit from China to Los Angeles, inclduing 11 days from Shanghai and 12 days from Ningbo, with attractive price and 100 percent guaranteed space and equipment in port.

“The Eagle Express X is yet another way that we are responding to the evolving needs of our cargo customers,” Gene Seroka, executive director at the Port of Los Angeles, told the Global Trade magazine.
