In a latest update about coronavirus impact, APL has said that major coastal ports in mainland China are now operating at normal productivity levels. With truck power coming back on, cargo backlogs are quickly clearing out, thereby returning fluidity to container movements, according to the shipping company.
APL has advised that from 9 March 2020, most of its offices will resume full operations, except in the following locations:
- North China offices will operate in alternating split groups from home or from office
- Wuhan, Yichang and Yangtze, where APL’s employees will continue to provide services on a remote basis
