APL, service update

We are pleased to inform that APL has enhanced network services to bring you improved connectivity and faster transit into Naha, Okinawa.

With the updated rotation of APL’s weekly U.S. flagged Eagle Express 1 (EX1) service, connection to Naha is now faster, with industry-leading transit times of just 14-day and 16-day transit from Oakland and Los Angeles respectively.

What’s more, drawing on APL’s 170-year strong heritage, EX1 will be deployed on vessels christened with former U.S. Presidents’ names.

As APL rotates the new President-named vessels into the EX1 service, you will notice some variation in arrival times to Okinawa until all President-named vessels are in place. Please note the following schedule with key dates so that you may book accordingly:


Cut-offs may vary based on the vessel voyage – please be certain to check at time of booking.
