APM Terminals appoints new head of global operations

APM Terminals has announced that Rex Jackson, the previous chief operating officer at APM Terminals Tangier, is the new company’s head of global operations, effective September 2022.

Rex Jackson replaces Henrik Kristensen, who has since the new appointment assumed the position of managing director of APM Terminals Port Elizabeth.

“With his first-hand experience in operations, Rex will build on our need and plan to standardise core operational processes and systems,” commented Jack Craig, APM Terminals chief operations officer.

Rex Jackson will continue to be based in Tangier, where APM Terminals plans to accelerate its research and development activities by establishing a centre of excellence for its global operations, which will, among other things, focus on continuous improvement, labour excellence, standardising IT processes and applications.

“I am very excited about this new opportunity and I look forward to building a strong and passionate team, focused on delivering a great customer experience rooted in safe, innovative and reliable operations,” stated Rex Jackson.
