Maureen Bannerman, the current managing director of APM Terminals Bahrain, will leave her position in December 2022 as she returns to Dubai, UAE for personal reasons.
Maureen Bannerman is at the helm of APM Terminals Bahrain since April 2021. During her tenure, she has driven a strategic and transformational agenda for the company and Khalifa Bin Salman Port, strengthened the management team and developed and promoted existing talent.
In addition, she led pioneering initiatives such as the Acceleration Programme, which acts as an umbrella framework for two development programmes targeting future Bahraini logistics leaders, as well as aspiring young people who have yet to enter the shipping business, supporting the country’s “Bahrain Vision 2030”.
With the departure of Maureen Bannerman, the current chief financial officer, Farooq Zuberi, will act as interim CEO until a successor is announced.
“As Maureen leaves us for unavoidable personal reasons, I would like to thank her for the amazing work she has done as managing director in Bahrain,” commented Jonathan Goldner, managing director, Asia and Middle East at APM Terminals.
