APM Terminals Pipavav inaugurates new warehousing facility

APM Terminals Pipavav has collaborated with Contrans Logistic to build a new warehousing complex near the port of Pipavav, in the Saurashtra region in India.

APM Terminals said the Multimodal Logistics Park (MMLP) will provide warehousing, storage and tailored logistics solutions and will offer connectivity with international and coastal shipping routes, access to the Indian rail network through the Dedicated Freight corridor [DFC] and connection to the road network in Gujarat and the northern hinterland.

In the presence of upper executives from APM Terminals Pipavav and Contrans Logistic, Birna Osk, CEO of APMT Global, Girish Aggarwal, managing director of APM Terminals Pipavav, and Capt. Rajeev Niroola, managing director of Contrans Logistic, inaugurated the new facility.

“The aim is to address the economies of scale associated with integrated warehousing facilities in the region and considering Multimodal logistical parks (MMLPs) not being available to stakeholders in the value chain, especially the small and medium enterprise,” commented Capt. Navjit Grewal, chairman and Capt Rajeev Niroola, managing director of Logistic.
