ARC adds new Ro-Ro vessel to its US-flag fleet

The American Roll-On Roll-Off Carrier Group (ARC) announced the addition of the vessel ARC Endeavor to its US-flag fleet.

On 27 September, the vessel was officially reflagged under the American registry, marking it as the tenth US flag roll-on roll-off (Ro-Ro) vessel in ARC’s fleet. The US Coast Guard conducted the reflagging ceremony at the Port of Baltimore in Maryland.

“ARC has consistently invested in new tonnage and this latest Ro-Ro is the ninth ship we have brought into the American fleet since 2016. ARC Endeavor further strengthens ARC’s position as a leading logistics company and the largest US flag Ro-Ro carrier,” stated Eric Ebeling, ARC President & CEO.

The vessel ARC Endeavor is now ARC’s fifth US-flag Large Car Truck Carrier (LCTC). It is 229.99 meters long, features a 6.50 meters high stern opening, and has a stern ramp capable of handling cargo up to 320 tons.

“On behalf of the men and women of American Maritime Officers (AMO), congratulations to ARC on another addition to their superb fleet of vessels. AMO appreciates our outstanding working relationship with ARC and its service to our nation’s armed forces, and we look forward to continuing our partnership and growing together in the future,” commented Willie Barrere, AMO National President.

The vessel can accommodate over 7,500 vehicles in car-equivalent units. The ARC Endeavor is one of the most capable and militarily versatile ships in the US-flag commercial fleet, equipped to transport tracked and wheeled vehicles, helicopters, and other heavy and oversized cargo.

As the largest US-flag Ro-Ro operator, ARC actively supports national defense through the Maritime Security Program and the Voluntary Intermodal Sealift Agreement.
