Arkas proceeds with full fleet roll-out of high-frequency data with StormGeo and Danelec

StormGeo and Danelec have successfully deployed an advanced vessel performance optimization system for 48 Turkish vessels operated by shipping firms Arkas and Er Shipping.

This solution combines Danelec’s onboard and cloud-based infrastructure with StormGeo’s Vessel Performance platform, enabling the comprehensive management of fleets’ commercial, technical, and environmental performance.

“At Arkas, we take our environmental goals seriously. We are excited to deepen our partnership with StormGeo by equipping 44 vessels in our fleet with high-frequency data reporting through the StormGeo-Danelec solution. We are confident that the high-quality data and environmental expertise this partnership provides will strengthen our efforts to decarbonize the shipping industry alongside other TSA members. It is incredibly gratifying for us to see the project come to life and witness the excellent cooperation between the teams,” stated Emre Reha Güven, Environmental Management Superintendent at Arkas.

The partnership between Danelec and StormGeo began in 2023 to support StormGeo’s strategic collaboration with the Turkish Shipowners’ Association (TSA).

In addition, the project demonstrates Danelec’s technology-agnostic approach, particularly through its Danelec Collect onboard infrastructure, and has increased the number of Turkish ships utilizing StormGeo’s Vessel Performance solutions to 225.

By harnessing high-frequency vessel sensor data from Danelec, StormGeo delivers key performance insights that will help Arkas and Er Shipping make informed decisions and reduce emissions across their fleets.
