Arkas and Sealand launch joint service

Sealand – A Maersk Company Europe & Med. together with the partner Arkas Line announce the launch of joint Black Sea seasonal reefer service.

“We always strive to improve our services for the benefit of our customers, therefore we would like to inform you that we again this year are launching the Black Sea seasonal service to cater for our customers with needs of refrigerated cargo in the Black Sea area”, Sealand said in its press release.

Service will be based on a vessel sharing agreement with Arkas Line A/S. On this agreement Sealand – A Maersk Company Europe and Med. will be operating 1 out of 2 vessels in the schedule, having an average plug capacity of 600 plugs.

Rotation of the service will be: Ashod – Mersin – Novorossiysk – Ashdod

This Black Sea seasonal service will offer competitive transit time of 4 days from Mersin, Turkey, and 6 days from Ashdod, Israel, into the port of Novorossiysk, Russia.

First sailing of the service will be on vessel EMMA A which will be departing from Ashdod on November 1st.
