ASEAN-10 to add three documents to AMS Platform

Ten ASEAN countries will start to exchange documents via the ASEAN Single Window (ASW) platform including the e-Phyto-Sanitary Certificate, e-Animal Health Certificate and the e-ASEAN Customs Declaration Document (ACDD) on top of the existing e-Form D. The move initiated by the ASW Steering Committee has been approved at the meeting of the ASEAN Committee of the Whole held recently in Hanoi, Vietnam.

AMS is a regional initiative that connects and integrates National Single Windows (NSWs) of ASEAN Member States (AMS). It aims to expedite cargo clearance, integrate the region’s economies, and improve enforcement at the border.

Starting 1 January, 2018, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam transit into live operation of e-ATIGA (ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement) Form D Certificate of Origin exchange – preferential treatment under ATIGA based on e-ATIGA Form D transmitted through the ASW-NSW sys platform and on December 30, the Philippines began to exchange e-Form D via the ASW

The addition of the three documents to the AMS platform is expected to further promote facilitation of trade within the ASEAN nations.
