Auction for new electrical infrastructure at Seattle Terminals

The Northwest Seaport Alliance (NWSA), a marine cargo operating partnership of the ports of Seattle and Tacoma, announced a proposal for new electrical infrastructure at Seattle Terminals (SSAT).

More specifically, the electrical infrastructure will supply power for up to 960 new refrigerated containers. The vendor selection procedure started on 23 June 2023 and will continue until 28 July.

According to NWSA, the selected vendor will be required to furnish, deliver, and provide onsite commissioning support for four substations and enclosures as indicated in the drawings and technical specifications included in this solicitation.

NWSA published that the estimated contract price will be approximately US$6-7 million.
