Following crew testing on the Bangkok Bridge and the Ital Lirica, Hapag-Lloyd a partner in the Africa-Asia services, the carrier has announced that the Bangkok Bridge has been diverted to the Philippines for a crew change.
In an announcement on 4 August the carrier said that the 4,432TEU Bangkok Bridge which is owned by Japanese company FJ Lines is heading to Manila where the crew will be discharged and the ship fully sanitised.
Following the crew change and cleaning operation Hapag-Lloyd said the vessel will resume its voyage (097W) to Singapore with following estimated schedule dates:
- ETA Singapore 11th August 2020 ETD Singapore 12th August 2020
- ETA Port Kelang 13th August 2020 ETD Port Kelang 13th August 2020
- ETA Durban 26th August 2020 ETD Durban 29th August 2020
- ETA Cape Town 1st September 2020 ETD Cape Town 3rd September 2020
Ital Lirica which also had crew on board that tested positive for Covid-19 remains at anchorage off Hong Kong, Container News is awaiting further news about this vessel.
