Baltic and International Maritime Council (BIMCO), the world’s largest direct-membership organisation for shipowners, charterers, shipbrokers and agents, has appointed Niels Rasmussen as its Chief Shipping Analyst who will take over his duties on 3 January 2022.

Most recently, Rasmussen was Global Head of Research at Maersk Broker for six years, focusing on the main shipping segments such as container, dry bulk and tanker.

Deputy Secretary-General at BIMCO, Michael Lund, stated, “We are delighted that Niels will be heading our shipping market analysis team.”
