Bolloré Logistics Greater China has unveiled its newly renovated headquarters, which are located in Shanghai.
The updated building combines the elements of nature and embraces the harmony between natural and man-made materials.
Additionally, the office was designed with the goal of reduced carbon emissions and allowing a reduction of 28.7% compared to the previous office.
According to Bolloré Logistics, following the 3R design concept of “reduce, reuse and recycle”, the new office focuses on circularity. It also takes into account the health of the employee, by using materials and design methods that are beneficial to the employee well-being.
Recycling initiatives are also implemented within the office to encourage the concept of circularity. It should be noted that 31.5% of the office interior is feasibly recyclable or biodegradable.
During the construction process, local material manufacturers were sourced to reduce transport emissions. Advanced air-conditioning and air purification systems were also adopted to provide fresh and cool air with real-time monitoring of the air quality, while energy-efficient low lighting settings were installed to reduce strain on employees and fatigue.
The various employee-centric features and environmentally friendly initiatives have contributed to the newly renovated office exceeding the industry benchmark for offices by 13.3 times and 4.1 times respectively for health and circularity.
Frederic Marcerou, CEO of Bolloré Logistics Greater China, said, “As we reopen this stunning new office, we are proud to be setting a higher standard for workplace excellence as all of us at Bolloré Logistics Greater China are dedicated to creating an exceptional working environment for all our employees, fostering teamwork and encouraging innovation, while remaining committed to sustainability initiatives at the same time.”
