Bolloré Logistics starts Vietnam – Europe multimodal service

The transport and logistics company Bolloré Logistics Vietnam has launched a new multimodal service, linking Vietnam and Europe via Bangkok, aiming to provide customers with an alternative solution between the two regions.

The journey consists of two ‘legs’. For the first leg of the journey connecting Vietnam with Thailand, the cargo is moved via cross border trucking (CBT), with a total transit time of four to five days. From Thailand, cargoes are transferred by air to Europe.

Since its launch, Bolloré Logistics Vietnam has received and handled continuous volumes via this truck-air solution.

“Demand for export from Hanoi to Europe has been steadily increasing, and we have decided to launch this service to provide a backup solution to our customers when space from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh cities are fully booked,” said Anne Ferteux, general manager for Sales & Development Vietnam.

“While transit times are slightly longer, customers will benefit from lower costs due to reduced air freight rates of up to 20 to 30%,” added Ferteux.
