Global logistics provider C.H. Robinson is expanding its footprint in the Asia-Pacific region by opening a new office in the Philippines.
This strategic move aims to enhance support for the country’s burgeoning logistics and transportation sectors, aligning with the company’s commitment to delivering customized services in key global markets.
The Philippines, known for its robust economy and projected 6% growth in 2024, is experiencing rising demand for freight and logistics services driven by increased international trade and exports.
The logistics industry, contributing 4 to 6% of the country’s GDP, is anticipated to grow to a market size of US$19.7 million (P1.160 trillion) by 2027.
“There is a growing need for local logistics expertise with global capabilities as companies navigate today’s complex logistics landscape. While we have had a presence in the Philippines for decades, this new office is one of the ways we continue to strengthen our global footprint and local knowledge, helping our customers accelerate in Southeast Asia and beyond,” said Mike Short, president of global forwarding at C.H. Robinson.
