Cabooter Group officially receives Kalmar’s electric reachstacker

Following a six-month testing phase, Kalmar has officially handed over its first completely electric reachstacker to its long-term partner Cabooter Group.

The reachstacker will continue to operate at Cabooter Group’s Greenport Venlo intermodal terminal in the Netherlands’ southeast.

The Kalmar electric reachstacker, with lifting capabilities of up to 45 tonnes, increases cargo-handling operations’ eco-efficiency while allowing clients to retain the greatest standards of productivity and safety. Also, the reachstacker comes with a variety of modular batteries and charging choices.

Cabooter Group was honoured with the Kalmar Eco-Hero Award as part of the handover event in appreciation of their dedication to using sustainable electrically driven equipment.

“Cabooter Group has remained firmly focused on transforming its terminal operations with the goal of reducing airborne emissions and noise. The company is leading by example with its sustainability transformation, and we are honoured that they have chosen Kalmar as the equipment partner for this transformation,” stated Maurice Butin Bik, sales manager of Benelux, Kalmar.
