Canadian Rail – Overweight Limitations

The latest rail weight limitations of Canadian Rail are noted below:

  • CN Rail will accept 20’ tank containers at the same above listed weights for dry containers.
  • CP Rail will accept 20’ tank containers on all corridors with a maximum cargo and tare weight of 23,955 kgs.

The above noted weights must be respected, as there are no alternatives for cargo that exceeds the maximum weights.
