Challenging Asian market sees additional service cancellations

Maersk has decided to implement new blank sailings due to market demand reductions in Far East Asia, Indian Subcontinent and Pakistan caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and the challenges in the supply chain.

Furthermore, Hapag-Lloyd has announced the termination of its India Gulf Service 2 (IG2), because the German carrier finds the current situation in India enormously challenging.

“Nevertheless we will be able to offer you alternative weekly service offerings for Hazira – Jebel Ali by our existing feeder partners,” added the company.

The IG2 service will be terminated with the last two sailings listed below:

  • Hazira to Jebel Ali: SIMA GISSELE V 0003 , ETA Hazira 31 July
  • Jebel to Ali Hazira: X-PRESS BRADSEY 20032, ETA Jebel Ali 29 July
