Chipolbrok orders two new multipurpose vessels

Chinese/Polish transport company Chipolbrok aims to enhance its ship fleet with two new multipurpose vessels.

Chipolbrok has sent an order to China’s Chengxi Shipyard, which will construct the two ships with a capacity of 61,600 dwt, including 800 TEU container capacity, a draught of 13.5 metres, and four cranes separated into 2x 80 tons and 2x 150 tons (combinable).

The two vessels are expected to be delivered between 2025 and 2026. The newbuildings will join six sisterships in Chipolbrok’s fleet.

“As well as breakbulk and project cargoes, the newbuildings will lift dry bulk parcels as rare earths, minerals, grain, oil seeds and coke where multipurpose demand is low,” said DynaLiners report.
