CMA CGM announces extra risk coverage surcharge in Sudan

CMA CGM will implement an extra risk coverage surcharge for several sailings at the destination of Sudan, considering the current situation in the country.

The French ocean carrier said that there will be a surcharge of US$500 per dry and reefer TEU for sailings from North Europe, Scandinavia, Poland, Baltic, Black Sea, West Med, East Med, Adriatic, North Africa, Morocco, Indian Subcontinent, Middle East Gulf and Red Sea to Sudan.

The surcharge will be effective from 1 May 2023 (loading date).
