CMA CGM announces fresh May surcharges

CMA CGM has announced new peak season surcharges (PSS) that will be applied from 15 May 2020 (date of loading in the origin ports) until further notice:

  • Origin: From all Mediterranean ports (East & West Mediterranean and Adriatic)
  • Destination: To the Middle East & Red Sea Ports and inland points via said ports
  • Cargo: Dry
  • Amount: US$300 per 20′ dry & 40′ dry (all types)

In addition, CMA CGM has announced another PSS rates applicable as from 20 May 2020 (date of loading in the origin ports) until further notice:

  • Origin : From all North European ports, Scandinavia & Poland
  • Destination : To the Middle East & Red Sea Ports
  • Cargo: Dry only
  • Amount: US$150 per container

The French carrier has also informed its customers that the PSS of €200 (US$ 217) per TEU reefer, applicable since 10 March 2020, from West Med, North Europe, Scandinavia and Poland, Baltic, Italy Adriatic & Black Sea to Reunion, Mauritius & Tamatave, Madagascar has been cancelled from 1 May 2020.
