CMA CGM announces new peak season surcharges worldwide

Marseille-headquartered container line CMA CGM has announced a new peak season surcharge (PSS) from Indian Subcontinent, Middle East Gulf & Red Sea to North Europe, Scandinavia & Poland, Black Sea, Morocco; East & West Mediterranean, Adriatic and North Africa.

The new surcharge will be effective from 15 February (date of loading) until further notice and will be US$500 per dry container.

Additionally, another surcharge will be implemented by CMA CGM from North Europe, Baltic, Scandinavia & Poland to the United States, Canada East Coast and Mexico.

This second surcharge will be effective from 28 January (cargo receipt date for US, B/L date for Canada and Mexico) until further notice. The amount of the surcharge will be different at each destination and will be as follows:
