CMA CGM appoints new India MD

French shipping giant, CMA CGM has announced the appointment of Atit Mahajan as the new managing director for CMA CGM India. Atit Mahajan is a qualified chartered accountant with a qualitative experience of 18 years in strategy, finance and cost management function and strong leadership abilities, according to CMA CGM.

Mahajan started in the position from 1 August 2020, but prior to taking on the position of CMA CGM’s managing director, Mahajan has served as the chief financial officer of CEVA Logistics India and chief operating officer of LCL Logistix. Both firms are subsidiaries of the CMA CGM Group.

In the past, he has also been part of the CMA CGM Group and was at the position of chief financial officer at CMA CGM INDIA, for the period of 2010 – 2015.

CMA CGM has started its operations in India since 1989 and it has a network of 27 offices across the country employing around 630 people. CMA CGM India is connected globally via 14 mainline services and 27 weekly calls with 302 depots and warehouses.
