CMA CGM boss Rodolphe Saadé shares his vision with French senators

The chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of CMA CGM Group, Rodolphe Saadé, was invited to talk about his vision for maritime transport and supply chains with the Commissioners for Economic Affairs and Regional Planning and Development.

Through his speech, Rodolphe Saadé highlighted the history of the CMA CGM Group, the company’s roots, and its strategic importance for France. He also presented the various actions implemented by the Marseille-based group to alleviate tensions in global supply chains and to accelerate the energy transition of transport and logistics.

Saadé noted that CMA CGM continued to grow by reinvesting almost all of its profits to offer new solutions to its customers and accelerate its energy transition.

“We are putting money on the table and it’s not only charity. We are helping consumers. What I want is that we stop looking at CMA CGM and we start looking at my competitors,” pointed out Saadé, who made special reference to the Group’s aim to be useful to France and the competitiveness of the national economy.
