CMA CGM enhances Italy intermodal services

CMA CGM is improving its current product intermodal and inland solutions covering Piacenza and Northern Italy area with a third departure per week as of June.

The three departures on a weekly basis offer increased flexibility, according to the French company, while the transit time from Genoa to Piacenza and vice versa is one day.

In addition to Piacenza Door delivery, CMA CGM is offering a solution from/to the industrial area of Brescia, Bergamo and Cremona via Piacenza Ramp.

Import Piacenza door is reached from Asia ports via MEX/MEX 2 services with the following transit times:

  • Qingdao in 37 days
  • Shanghai 32 days
  • Yantian 27 days
  • Singapore 22 days

From the United States, Import Piacenza door is reached via the Amerigo service with the following transit times:

  • New York in 27 days
  • Norfolk in 24 days

Exports within a 50km radius North of Piacenza Ramp are given the opportunity of multiple departures a week. Piacenza Door > Shanghai in 39 days, Bergamo > New York in 19 days, Brescia > Savannah in 24 days.
