CMA CGM expands BIGEX network

CMA CGM announced the launch of its new BIGEX 3 and BIGEX 4 services, which will complement the existing BIGEX 1 and BIGEX 2 options.

This expansion is expected to enable the French carrier to provide the efficient direct links between India, the Middle East Gulf, and the Red Sea. Both weekly services are designed to offer industry-leading transit times and optimal reefer plug capacity to meet the evolving requirements of trade in these regions.

The BIGEX 3 service is specifically designed to connect India with the Red Sea, offering a direct route with significantly faster transit times from India to Jeddah. The service will follow the rotation of Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Salalah, Jeddah, and back to Nhava Sheva. Operating weekly, the BIGEX 3 service is scheduled to commence on 22 February 2025, departing from Nhava Sheva.

The BIGEX 4 service will establish a direct connection between India, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq, providing fast transit times from India to Dammam. This new service is tailored to enhance trade efficiency in the region by offering reliable and timely transportation options.

The BIGEX 4 service will operate weekly, following the rotation of Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Dammam, Umm Qasr, and back to Nhava Sheva. The service is set to launch on 24 February 2025, with its inaugural departure from Nhava Sheva.
