CMA CGM implements new charges in Oceania

The French liner operator CMA CGM has announced new charges for cargo travelling from and to Oceania.

Firstly, CMA CGM will apply a Freight All Kinds (FAK) rate increase in sailings from the ports of North Europe, Mediterranean, Baltic and the Black Sea, to Australia and New Zealand.

The FAK rates increases, which will be effective from 8 February until further notice, will be imposed on all types of cargo, as follows:

In addition, the Marseille-based ocean carrier will introduce a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) of US$1,500 per container from Australia and New Zealand to ports of North Europe, Mediterranean, Latin America, US East Coast (USEC) and US Gulf.

This PSS will begin on 1 March, according to a statement.
