CMA CGM introduces CEIBA Express service

French ocean carrier CMA CGM has announced tha launch of CEIBA Express, a direct weekly service connecting Florida with key destinations in Venezuela, Colombia, Honduras, and Guatemala.

The service includes major ports such as Port Everglades, Kingston, La Guaira, Puerto Cabello, Cartagena, Puerto Cortes, and Santo Tomas.

The inaugural sailing with the vessel Hansa Salzburg is scheduled to commence from Port Everglades on 14 January 2024, and from Puerto Cortes on 30 January 2024. Departures from Guatemala are strategically timed on Thursday mornings, accommodating growers to pack half-week production efficiently.

Notably, there will be three weekly departures from Colombia to Florida (on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday). Additionally, from Florida, there is a direct link to Venezuela’s main ports, with a third departure per week to Latin America, while the service ensures fast connections in Kingston.

CEIBA Express service offers intermodal solutions for rapid service in Honduras and Guatemala at the origin, as well as in Florida at the destination. This comprehensive service is designed to enhance connectivity and efficiency throughout the specified regions.
