CMA CGM introduces rail intermodal solution in Malaysia

French carrier CMA CGM has announced the expansion of its rail intermodal solutions in Malaysia with the launch of a unique and innovative rail product that provides a direct connection from Ipoh via Port Klang.

CMA CGM’s new offering is currently the only rail service of its kind in the market, designed to meet the dynamic needs of the Ipoh region. The company said this service ensures global connectivity through links with 54 maritime routes and boasts a high-reliability rate with fixed daily departures and a rapid transit time of less than one day.

With this service, the Ipoh Ramp can be efficiently reached from major global ports—Shanghai in 22 days, Antwerp in 38 days, and Nhava Sheva in just 16 days.
