CMA CGM launches new Round The Africa service

CMA CGM has introduced its new product Round The Africa (RTA) service in complement of the current existing 31 services to Sub-Saharan Africa, aiming to improve its service offer to West Africa strategic markets.

Round The Africa provides direct connections from Asia to Senegal and Sierra Leone. The French carrier says Dakar is served weekly from Ningbo in 35 days and from Nansha in 32 days, while Freetown is reached in 35 days from Nansha. In addition, the service offer to Tema is improved with three weekly departures.

The new service also provides a direct service to China, with Shanghai to be reached in 29 days from Abidjan, 31 days from Tema, 36 days from Freetown and 39 days from Dakar.

CMA CGM will deploy 11 vessels of 4,200TEU nominal capacity and the first ship on the service will start its journey on 25 July from Shanghai.

Shanghai – Ningbo – Nansha – Singapore – Malta – Tanger – Dakar – Freetown – Tema – Abidjan – Port Kelang – Shanghai
