The new administrative headquarter of the French ocean carrier CMA CGM Group, one of the largest container shipping companies in the world, was inaugurated inside the port of Damietta in Egypt.
Rear Admiral Ahmed Abdel Moaty Hawash, chairman of the Damietta Port Authority (DPA), attended the opening ceremony, as well as, Eng. Tariq Zaghloul, CEO of CMA CGM in Egypt, Muhannad Ahmed, representative of shipowners and Rear Admiral Tariq Adly, DPA deputy chairman for operations, among others.
The chairman of DPA highlighted his interest to foster DPA-CMA joint cooperation to widen the range of services provided to Egyptian port’s clients coinciding with the near completion of the plan to develop Damietta container berths and increase its depths to accommodate larger boxships.
