CMA CGM has decided to apply new freight of all kinds (FAK) rates as follows as from 15 May 2020 (date of loading in the origin ports in Asia) and until further notice, but not beyond 31 May 2020:
- Origin Range: From all Asian ports (including Japan, Southeast Asia and Bangladesh)
- Destination Range: To all Northern European ports (including the United Kingdom and the full range from Portugal to Finland/Estonia)
- Cargo: Dry cargo, OOG, paying empties and reefer cargo
- Origin Range: From all Asian base ports
- Destination Range: To all Mediterranean and North African base ports (areas mentioned above)
- All outports in Asia and Mediterranean and North Africa will be subject to additional surcharges
CMA CGM has also announced an increase in FAK rates from North Europe to Asia from 1 June 2020 (date of loading in the origin ports) until further notice but not beyond 30 June 2020:
- Origin Range: From North European base ports (direct on CMA CGM services)
- Destination Range: To China and North & South Asia base ports (direct on CMA CGM services)
- Cargo: Dry
- Amounts: US$1,250 per 20’ST / US$1,550 per 40’ST / US$1,550 per 40’HC
(Subject to PSS of US$300 per 20’/40′)
In addition, the French shipping line will apply the following general rate restoration (GRR), effective from 15 May 2020:
- From Asia including China, Taiwan, South Korea, South East Asia, East Coast of India, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka (Japan excluded)
- To Kenya, Tanzania and Mozambique (all ports)
- Quantum: US$300/TEU
- All cargo dry, reefer, OOG and breakbulk
