CMA CGM reorganises BRAZEX services

French box carrier CMA CGM announced the launch of its new BRAZEX service setup and the new MANAUS SHUTTLE to improve the connection between the United States Gulf Coast and Latin America & the Caribbean.

The new BRAZEX will have improvements to the current BRAZEX1 and BRAZEX2 services with doubled dedicated loops for South Brazil and North Brazil. It will offer direct weekly connection to Cartagena and South Brazil and improved transit time and schedule reliability from/to South Brazil from/to US Gulf/MX & Caribbean regions.

The new BRAZEX will also provide a connection to CMA CGM’s feeder network via Kingston to West Coast South America, Venezuela and Caribbean and a dedicated shuttle from Kingston to Manaus and Vila Do Conde.

CMA CGM said that it strongly focusses on the reefer market with more than 300 plugs allocated on a weekly basis via BRAZEX services.

New BRAZEX will rotate between New Orleans – Houston – Veracruz – Kingston – Cartagena – Salvador – Santos – Navegantes – Paranagua – Santos – Rio de Janeiro – Cartagena – Kingston – New Orleans.

The service to Manaus and Vila Do Conde will now be operated via a new dedicated service, MANAUS SHUTTLE, with transshipment in the Kingston hub.

MANAUS SHUTTLE’s rotation will be Kingston – Manzanillo – Manaus – Vila do Conde – Kingston

CMA CGM noted below the first departures of MANAUS SHUTTLE:

  • First departure from Kingston on 29 November 2022 with the CMA CGM PEMBA
  • First departure from Vila Do Conde on 18 December 2022 with the CMA CGM PEMBA
