CMA CGM has confirmed two new peak season surcharges (PSS) from Europe to West Coast South America for dry and reefer cargo, which will take effect in the next month.
The French carrier will apply a PSS of €600 (US$725)/TEU from Italy to West Coast South America and Colombia, while it will implement a PSS of €400 (US$482.50)/20′ and €800 (US$965)/40′ from Italy to Leeward, Windward, Central America East & West Coasts, Mexico West Coast & the Caribbean, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands & Manaus and Brazil.
In addition, CMA CGM has announced a PSS of €800 (US$965)/20′ and €1,000 (US$1205)/40′ from Portugal and the Mediterranean ports of Spain to West Coast South America.
From the same destination to Leeward, Windward, Central America East & West Coasts, Mexico West Coast & the Caribbean, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands & Manaus, Brazil, the PSS of the Marseille-based line will be €600 (US$725)/20′ and €800 (US$965)/40′, while to Colombia the PSS will increase to €700 (US$845)/20′ and €900 (US$1085)/40′.
The PSS to West Coast South America, Leeward, Windward, Central America East & West Coasts, Mexico West Coast & the Caribbean will start on 1 June, while the surcharges to Colombia, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands & Manaus and Brazil will be effective from 11 June.
