CMA CGM reshuffles services linking East Med countries, Malta and Libya

CMA CGM – Short Sea Lines Division announced the reshuffling of its TULYB, GTL and GETEX services between Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, Egypt, Lebanon, Malta and Libya.

The changes will be effective from the 45th week of the year.

The new TULYB setup will address the Turkey – Greece/Piraeus – Cyprus – Egypt – Libya markets. Additionally, the new GTL setup will address the Greece/Thessaloniki – Cyprus – Egypt – Lebanon – Turkey – Libya markets. Moreover, the GETEX service will stop in the same week (45th), while all POL/POD will be covered and all corridors will be offered directly via TULYB, GTL and EMED2 (only for the Beirut – Limassol leg).

These revised weekly services will be starting from the port of Aliaga on 7 November and from the port of Thessaloniki on 10 November.

The TULYB service’s main features are the following:

  • Fleet of three vessels x 1,300 TEU
  • The rotation will be Aliaga (Turkey) / Gemlik (Turkey) / Gebze (Turkey) / Ambarli (Turkey) / Piraeus (Greece) / Limassol (Cyprus) / Alexandria Old Port (Egypt) / Misurata (Libya) / Aliaga (Turkey)

The frequency of the service will be weekly, while the transit time from Ambarli to Misurata will be 11 days and from Piraeus to Limassol three days.

The GTL service’s main features are the following:

  • Fleet of four vessels x 1,100 TEU
  • The rotation will be Thessaloniki (Greece) / Limassol (Cyprus) / Damietta (Egypt) / Beirut (Lebanon) / Iskenderun (Turkey) / Malta / Tripoli (Lebanon) / Misurata (Libya) / Thessaloniki

The frequency will be weekly, while the transit time from Thessaloniki to Limassol will be two days, from Thessaloniki to Damietta three days, from Thessaloniki to Iskenderun seven days and from Iskenderun to Tripoli six days.
