CMA CGM has announced the restart of a service to handle the seasonal export of cashews from Bissau, Guinea-Bissau to India and Vietnam.
In addition to its coverage of 31 services calling Sub-Saharan Africa, the French carrier will run the Bijagos Shuttle service, a “personalised” product known in Bissau to serve cashew exports.
The service will commence in mid-June and will be fully operated by CMA CGM, which will use two 1,700 TEU container ships.
The Bissau port will be served on a fortnightly frequency during the cashew season from mid-June 2022 to the end of the season, according to the company’s announcement.
