CMA CGM has announced the launch of a new seasonal offering connecting Tanger, Morocco with the United States East Coast & Canada during fruit and vegetable season.
The rotation of the new service, MOCANA, will be Tanger Med (Morocco) – Halifax (Canada) – New York (US)- Norfolk (US)- Savannah (US) – Charleston (US)- Tanger Med.
The 9,661 TEU boxship CMA CGM Pelleas will be used on the next voyage with an estimated time of arrival (ETA) at Tanger Med on 9 December and the express transit time ex Tanger to Halifax will be seven days.
MOCANA will provide some advanced solutions such as climactive controlled atmosphere in order to preserve the perfect atmosphere in reefer boxes and smart containers to monitor the conditions and status of cargo during transport
CMA CGM described the new service as a “new bridge from South East Asia to Tanger hub” for cargo bound for Africa and Mediterranean.
