CMA CGM strengthens JEDDEX service

CMA CGM has decided to update its JEDDEX service, adding two direct weekly calls at Ain Sokhna, Egypt and Aqaba, Jordan as from week 26.

The new JEDDEX service’s rotation will be:
Jeddah – Ain Sokhna – Aqaba – Yanbu– Jeddah – Mogadishu – Mombasa – Jeddah

Furthermore, the Marseille-based shipping company will deploy one additional ship on the service, with five vessels, overall used on the JEDDEX service.

The first ship which will follow the updated rotation will be m/v Carla Liv voyage 0JN0NS1MA with an estimated time of arrival 26 June.

The French carrier aims to broaden its port coverage in Red Sea and East Africa with this service enhancement, “offering a competitive transit time between the Republic of Egypt, the Kingdom of Jordan, Mogadishu and Mombasa, in addition to a wider offer for the Intra Red Sea Market.”

According to the French shipping group, Mombasa will be reached in 21 days from Ain Sokhna and 19 days from Aqaba, while the new rotation will allow shipments to reach Aqaba from Ain Sokhna in 1 day, Ain Sokhna from Jeddah in 2 days, and Jeddah from Aqaba in 6 days.
