CMA CGM to implement rates increases in Europe

The French shipping line CMA CGM has confirmed the introduction of new surcharges for sailings in Europe that will be applicable from 1 September.

In particular, the Marseille-based carrier will set the following increased Freight All Kinds (FAK) rates from the Red Sea to all North European and Mediterranean ports:

Additionally, CMA CGM will apply the following updated FAK rates from Northern Europe, United Kingdom, the Baltic States and Scandinavia to Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, Somalia and Maldives for dry, Out of Gauge and breakbulk cargo:

Furthermore, CMA CGM has announced a Peak Season Surcharge of US$400 per unit for reefer containers only, from Northern Europe, Baltic States, Poland, Scandinavia, West Mediterranean and Adriatic to Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, Somalia and Maldives.
