CMA CGM to introduce congestion surcharge in Mauritius

In light of the current situation in Mauritius, CMA CGM has informed its customers about the implementation of a port congestion surcharge (PCS).

This surcharge will take effect on 15 December 2024 and remain in place until further notice.

The French ocean carrier said the PCS will apply to all dry and reefer cargo destined for Port Louis in Mauritius. The surcharge will be approximately US$200 per TEU, according to the company’s statement.
