CMA CGM unveils new setup of its NC Levant service

CMA CGM has announced a new service setup for its NC LEVANT aiming to improve schedule reliability and enhance service efficiency.

The French box line has decided to add a northbound call in the Italian port of Salerno. With this addition, CMA CGM believes it will provide market opportunities by establishing a direct maritime link from Italy to Northern Europe.

Furthermore, CMA CGM will deploy an additional vessel on the service to optimise service frequency and schedule reliability. There are six vessels of 4,420 TEU container capacity that are now used on the NC LEVANT rotation.

The Marseille-based shipping company noted the service will have a weekly frequency and 42-day rotation, while extensive owned feedering network connections are also available in both North Europe and the Mediterranean.

The updated rotation of the NC LEVANT service will be as follows:

Felixstowe (UK) – Hamburg (Germany) – Rotterdam (the Netherlands) – Antwerp (Belgium) – Le Havre (France) – Malta (Italy) – Alexandria (Egypt) – Port Said West (Egypt) – Beirut (Lebanon) – Iskenderun (Turkiye) – Mersin (Turkiye) – Salerno (Italy) – Tanger Med (Morocco) – Felixstowe

The first vessel that will be deployed on the new rotation is the 2007-built boxship CMA CGM Alcazar, which is estimated to arrive at the port of Salerno on 10 July.
