CMA CGM’s back-offices slowly return to normal

CMA CGM has announced the gradual reconnection of its back-offices (Shared Services Centers) to the network, after the cyber attack, which has caused a chain of challenges to the French shipping group.

The Marseille-based company claims that this development will improve the bookings’ and documentation processing times.

“Since the cyberattack, we have maintained our electronic booking solutions via INTTRA and via a manual form,” CMA CGM said in its announcement, as all eCommerce websites of the French carrier have been shut down since 29 September.

Global IT update
This is the message of CMA CGM Group on its main website, https://www.cmacgm-group.com/en/, which is still operating normally.

Earlier, the shipping firm announced that all communications to and from CMA CGM Group are secure, including emails, transmitted files and electronic data interchange (EDI), while it emphasised that maritime and port activities are functioning as per usual.

CMA CGM’s technical teams, alongside independent experts, are continuing the investigation, according to the company’s update.
