CMA CGM’s CGX service reaches Caucasus and Central Asia via Georgia

CMA CGM Group announced the direct connection of the service SSL MED Caucasus Georgia Express (CGX) with the company’s rail transport solutions from/to Caucasus and Central Asia destinations.

According to the French carrier, the rail product permits customers to benefit from greener solutions, while it offers the following transit times:

  • Ramp transit time via Poti to/from Caucasus destinations: Armenia and Azerbaijan in 5-6 days
  • To/From Kazakhstan major destinations in 35 days, Turkmenistan in 25 days
  • Other countries in Central Asia: Kyrgystan and Tajikistan in 45 days
  • Uzbekistan in average 50 days depending on the ferry traffic on the Caspian Sea

CMA CGM has already five current maritime services calling the port of Poti in Georgia.
