CMA CGM Group announced the direct connection of the service SSL MED Caucasus Georgia Express (CGX) with the company’s rail transport solutions from/to Caucasus and Central Asia destinations.
According to the French carrier, the rail product permits customers to benefit from greener solutions, while it offers the following transit times:
- Ramp transit time via Poti to/from Caucasus destinations: Armenia and Azerbaijan in 5-6 days
- To/From Kazakhstan major destinations in 35 days, Turkmenistan in 25 days
- Other countries in Central Asia: Kyrgystan and Tajikistan in 45 days
- Uzbekistan in average 50 days depending on the ferry traffic on the Caspian Sea
CMA CGM has already five current maritime services calling the port of Poti in Georgia.
